Tank removal after contract end with Flogas

My contract with Flogas ends in two weeks. I have given them 42 days notice that I no longer need LPG and requested tank removal. Basically they are saying I have to pay £550 plus vat or continue paying tank rental and keep the tank in the garden. They do have clauses in the small print of there contracts about the uplift fee continuing after the contract period. Has anyone ever had them remove their tank for free? We have just had Air source Heat Pump fitted under Eco4 , hence no need for gas.
