Could I get a refund for EE overcharging me

Hi all

I have been with EE broadband for 10 years, and currently being charged £56 a month for 40mb broadband.

I was on EE TV, the original one, which was deactivated a few years ago. I think they just knocked a few quid off at the time. Somehow, I've been on the same plan "EE TV, Fibre & Weekend landline" for all this time.

So obviously, they have been ripping me off for many years. I'm looking to move to a fast fibre connection for way less, but before I do, is there any chance I could get any sort of refund for this blatant overcharging?

Thanks all

When you say "blatant overcharging", do you mean you have been paying for services that you haven't been receiving, or that its more expensive than you would like?

You can always ask, but look at it from their point of view.   They provided a service that you agreed to pay a certain amount for and you paid it for 10 years without complaining - I don't see any incentive for them to give you anything back.

Think of it as a positive - you've found out now, you could have paid it another 10 years without realising.

If you didn't bother to renew or look for better deals with ee or anyone else when your original contracted term ended that's your hard luck.

Sorry but what "blatant overcharging"?? You agreed to a deal which would've ended & discounts came off then yearly price increases too but have not did anything for years, chalk it up to exerience & move on l, it's not overcharging in anyway!
  • Well...at least you are all in consensus  :D

So just my hard luck then. In that case I will give them a call, tell them I'm leaving, tell them why, and see if they offer anything.

I did exactly that and got half price tv for 3 months and £20 off each of the 3 mobile phone contacts I have because I also have broadband

Before you cal, make sure you have a Plan B, by that I mean somewhere else to go should they refuse

That's not luck of any description, if you don't keep an eye on your various subscriptions and when any discounts are due to end then you're on the wrong forum.
