How to get rid of scratches inside the car

  • One option might be to cover the area with fake suede such as this:

It should also protect the area from further marks.
  • You can get interior plastic restorer stuff - i used some on my car I traded in a few years ago. It didn't really fix the scratches but it did make them less noticeable. Can't remember what I used, but it was under a tenner from Halfords I think. Worth a try before replacing the panel, and once they are blacked out, they'll be even less noticeable than when you bought the car.
This might be the best solution, but will require a few coats.

I'd a Golf recently that had been to the moon and back back a quantity surveyor who chucked all his gear in the back, damaging various bits of trim accordingly.

I just bought replacement bits.  Granted i was able to get them used, as it was an older Golf but you'll never make a job of it trying a DIY repair.  Wrapping could stand out a mile also, and could cost you the price of the new bit by the time you pay someones effort charges.

I'd price the new plastic, either online or from your local dealer.
