You are leasing (renting) the car so it will never be yours.  Why then, would you be concerned that it is a pre-reg?  It makes no difference to you.

I think the concern is that if it's a 3 year lease and the car is already 3 months old, then OP will need to give it's it's 3 year service and first MOT before giving returning it.

Also if it's got a 3 year warranty (we don't know what car?) then it'll have expired for the last 3 months of the lease.
    Good point.

Yes that was my point,  in the end they assured me it would all be ok and they would remburse any associated costs that would not have occured ,  in another btwist though ,  Said car arrived Jaecoo 7 Super hybrid.

This morning the delivery driver told me when he pulled up  and was about to deliver the car   that the EML  had just came on .  The car has 176 miles on it .  After a bit of a conversation with the dealership  ,  the dealer asked him not to hand over the car  and to drive it back to the dealership.  Trouble is the dealership is in the north west and im in the north east.

The dealership  contacted my lease broker to advise they would update me on the situaltion this afternoon.

I don't know whats going to happen yet but  i do know the Broker has following discussion with the dealer advised that this alloocated car will be rejected ,  with a replacement and compensation to be offered later today .

As my other car has gone back ,  im now carless.

I still want the car ive ordered  so im awaiting what the dealer/brand is going to offer short term.  Courtesy /  Hire car in the interim  as i wont be getting the original car back .

    What an absolute nightmare :(
