Group Nexus overstayed parking charge due to preorder queue.

For context, I arrived at a retail business car park at 6:40am to queue up for the pokemon preorder on the 25th of October at SmythToys. I queued until 11:30am and gave up as SmythToys system just could not get back online. I did end up buying some small packs but lost the physical receipt but can take a screenshot on the purchase via the app.
I was reading the newbie guide and came to the conclusion that I should use this template to appeal the parking charge, is that correct?
"I dispute your 'parking charge', as the keeper of the vehicle. I deny any liability or contractual agreement and I will be making a complaint about your predatory conduct to your client landowner.
There will be no admissions as to who was driving and no assumptions can be drawn. Since your PCN is a vague template, I require an explanation of the allegation and your evidence. You must include a close up actual photograph of the sign you contend was at the location on the material date as well as your images of the vehicle.
If the allegation concerns a PDT machine, the data supplied in response to this appeal must include the record of payments made - showing partial VRNs - and an explanation of the reason for the PCN, because your Notice does not explain it.
If the allegation involves an alleged overstay of minutes, your evidence must include the actual grace period agreed by the landowner."
Should I also attached a picture of the purchase I made on that day or just send the template above will be sufficient.
Thank you in advance.

I doubt they'll cancel it but no paying GN.
Is it POFA worded?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

This was the letter that was sent to me.
Is that even an option to ignore the fine and not pay?

There is no fine, just an invoice
Your best option is plan A in the newbies sticky thread in announcements near the top of the forum, not an appeal ( which is plan B )
They never tell people about plan A, but it works a lot when people try it
Few parking companies cancel on appeal, it's not profitable, but check if its Pofa2012 compliant or not3 -
Eh? What fine?!Shammy92 said:This was the letter that was sent to me.

Why on earth do you think you have to pay private parking charges?
You don't seem to have read the official MSE private parking tickets Guide linked at the top of the page. Checked by Martin Lewis himself.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

as above complain to SmythToys .... however they are prob just tenants ..... so complain to the land lords / managing agents of the retail park ..... hint the plinth / totem at the retail park will have the land lords / managing agents of the retail park details4

On Wedneday, I spoke to a store manager on the phone and he said he'll try to help and I sent him a picture of the PCN so that he can notify the land lords/managing agents. I went into the store today and there was a different store manager present and she told me that we tried something like this in the past and it got rejected.
I'll try to find a contact for the retail park next. Is there something I perhaps shouldn't mention to the land owner/managing agents?0 -
Don't mention who was driving, you are complaining about this as an aggrieved keeper and possibly as an occupant of the vehicle, as a valid customerShammy92 said:On Wedneday, I spoke to a store manager on the phone and he said he'll try to help and I sent him a picture of the PCN so that he can notify the land lords/managing agents. Never give out too much information, but valid customers should not be penalised, take copies of the paperwork, keep the originals3 -
Couldn't find a totem pole for this shopping park but Auntie Google suggests it is one of three agents: -Ralph-y said:as above complain to SmythToys .... however they are prob just tenants ..... so complain to the land lords / managing agents of the retail park ..... hint the plinth / totem at the retail park will have the land lords / managing agents of the retail park details
James Potter at AvisonYoung or Tom Wyatt at harveyspackfield or Emma Dudley at British Land5 -
Thank you for the help in finding the agents. I have already emailed James Potter and British Land general enquiries. Waiting patiently for positive response.3

For someone queuing for over 5 hours to spend money in a retail park from that early start in an age when shops are closing every week, the landowner, his agents and everyone else involved should be falling over themselves to call off these nasty Muppets.I would imagine from the description of events there must be dozens of others in the same predicament and none of this was down to the motorists fault or with any intent to overstay. If they do not cancel this I would contact the local press and shame them all!4
