Suggestions on best approach for two accounts?

I have a 2y contract with EE which expires in March. I will not be renewing it, as I've had another account with EE for several years (and was an Orange customer long before that). That contract I wish to hang on to as it still includes EU roaming, fastest speeds and unlimited calls/texts. However, the cost has risen gradually from £19 to over £28. I get 160 GB though I use only a fraction on that, but could live with a bit less. So my question is: what is my best timing to haggle on the old contract? Should I pay off the other contract now or wait unit March? When would be the best time to haggle - while I still have the second contract, or after I cancel it?

I highly recommend you ditching EE and going to 1p mobile instead. They’re well recommended. It’s the same as EE and you won’t be tied into a contract with annual price increases as it’s a 30 day rolling contract and you can leave at anytime should you want to do so. They have EU roaming as standard. You are paying way too much for what you have currently.0

Check out your data usage.
Have a look at spusu or 1pmobile if you want to stick with EE network.
Lebara (use vodafone) would worth a look if you want something cheaper.0 -
Thanks. I've had a look at both. Spusu looks promising,
I won't deal with Lyca or Lebara as I don't like the company backgrounds (see Private Eye). Price is not the only factor for me.

Check your phone compatability with Spusu as they do not support all phones.0

Forgot to mention, mozillion use EE as well0

As far as I can see the problem some have with speeds relates to a phone's lack of LTE-A. My OnePlus 12 seems to be OK (and it's on their list if VoLTE-capable phones).kwackerjeff said:Check your phone compatability with Spusu as they do not support all phones.0 -
Ecotalk is on EE. Does £20 a month for unlimited data. No price rises.1
