If you're flying with Ryanair from Wednesday 12 November, you'll no longer be able to use home-printed paper boarding passes. We explain what's changing and how this compares to other major airlines...

My family and I are flying with RyanAir on Saturday. I will have the 3 boarding passes on my Ryanair app. I've asked Ryanair how i transfer boarding passes to my family but nil response!

Other airline's apps (I don't use Ryanair) allow the boarding passes to be displayed on other devices as long as you know the booking reference and the lead traveller's surname. There's no real concept of "transferring" the pass.
Good idea to get them spread around more than one device for resilience, you can however show several passes on one device but it's a pain (especially at security entry gates).

Pretty sure you can a) get people to download the Ryanair app and have other people retrieve the booking and passes, or b) send individual ones to Google Pay/Apple Pay and display them from there. Or, worst case scenario, you just have to scan all three people through yourself.somerset_phil said:My family and I are flying with RyanAir on Saturday. Take your time scrolling through each one when going to board the aircraft. If everyone does that then Ryanair may realise just how stupid this paperless idea is.somerset_phil said:My family and I are flying with RyanAir on Saturday. Are you sure about using Google Wallet/Apple Thingy?la531983 said:

Not that Ryanair would impose some stupid rule that says it has to be on their app and not something like, say, a bit of A4 paper or an app that's been downloaded over a billion times?0 -
Fairly sure ive sent the boarding passes to Google Pay as recently as May, cant imagine its changed since.flaneurs_lobster said:

As for your 2nd paragraph I think people are being far too literal. They will just want a QR code on a device. Wont matter one jot if its from app or Google Pay imo.0 -
Me too, in September, but that was flying with a "normal" airline.la531983 said:

EDIT - sorry, are you specifically saying you moved Ryanair passes from their app to Google Wallet?0 -
Indeed this link confirms you could a few months ago (assuming its not a destination like Morocco where it still has to be paper)

I have no current Ryanair flight booked to check.
@somerset_phil just needs to go to the boarding cards in app and see if the Google Pay/Apple Pay sharing option is there.0 -
