Vinted unilaterally changed clothing sizes this morning without warning

Just be warned if you use Vinted for adult clothing. At some point this morning all the clothing sizes in their drop down menus have changed- they used to use Far East Sizing , so a standard UK size suddenly became XXXL or something, now they have reverted to near UK sizes. This means that most of the clothing is now showing the wrong size . So for instance what was listed as XXL for a size 14 now shows as a 22/24.
I was lucky as I had only a handful of clothing items listed to change, but some sellers are reporting they need to change hundreds and hundreds, one at a time.

I have experienced this, very, thing over the past week or so.
The seller tells us what size the garment's label is but the Vinted system says something different.
This is a good example ....
For people that don't read past the headline size guide they'll buy something that they could want to return back to the seller, giving both parties an unsatisfactory experience.0 -

If people actually buy in this way, no wonder there are complaints.
I've only had one poor experience with Vinted purchases and that was because the description - which I read carefully - was a total lie.
My searches are for clothes size 12-14.
I've changed my search criteria since the Vinted change.
Even though I now get the right sizes come up in my searches I still read the description and view the photos because size 12 doesn't fit but size 14 does.
If there is no specific size in the description or photos, I dismiss it.0 -
Frankly if people don’t bother to read the description then half the issue is down to them and I have less sympathy. My pet peeve though is sellers who don’t put a size in the description and now are moaning about returns, I’m trying to buy a specific clothing item , I click on both the options for the ‘old sizing’ and the new one and check description, maybe I’m unlucky but I’ve checked probably 50 or so items now and possibly have fewer than 10 have a size actually stated (unfortunately not the size I want) . I’ve emailed about 20 sellers actually asking them, and can count on one hand the amount that bother replying.Momogeew said:I have experienced this, very, thing over the past week or so.

Maybe it's because I'm meticulous with my descriptions and photos so there is no doubt whatsoever.
If I'm looking at an item that I might be interested in and there's no size, it doesn't make it to my favourite list.
If I'm really interested and there's no size, I'll ask.
No reply = off the list.
However, my experience is that most sellers do respond - and in a timely way.
I've found this even when I'm asking about an item that's been listed for a long time.
I've also had good responses when asking subjective questions like about the shade of an item listed as 'green'.1 -
I am very careful about sizing when I buy from Vinted. I like to see a photo of the actual size label. I’m also aware of the variations in sizing across different brands and now only buy what I’m fairly sure will fit me.2

Of course they should but i'll bet there are a lot that don't, for various reasons, and yes, there must be sellers that are always having to accept returns and/or refunds because of it.Pollycat said:

I completely agree, most of my size enquiries are never answered by the seller - some send offers, i enquire again - nothing 😠soolin said:

I don't bother with the item after that.
Could i ask you - what is the old sizing and new one ?
It's not something i'm familiar with 🤷🤔0 -
Completely on all points agree 👍Pollycat said:

I buy (only clothing) from Ebay, Vinted and Depop and Ebay and Vinted are the worst for the non repliers.
All of the sellers i buy from give a perfect purchase/experience.
