Creditplus Car Finance

I took out car finance from Creditplus and have submitted my claim to them. However they have replied saying that "Jump Finance Ltd purchased the trading name of Creditplus from the administrators of Whichdeal Ltd, which was the company that dealt with your finance. Whichdeal Ltd is no longer trading and we do not have access to historic data from transactions before December 2022. Jump Finance Ltd trading as Creditplus does not have any liability for business conducted under the trading name it purchased before December 20th 2022."
How do I find out if Jump Finance really don't have any liability?

You don't need to find out anything more, they are not liable for a company that went out of business.

Whichdeal is in administration.  That is a factual statement (see companies house).

The company buying the trading name or client bank from the administrators does not take on the liability.

The most recent administrators report states they have received  a misselling allegation of car finance but as there are no funds available or going to be available for unsecured creditors, they could not consider them.       It also says the FOS and FSCS could not assist.   The FOS is obviously not available, and it is not yet known if the FSCS will consider motor finance claims.   And even if it could in theory, it will have no little or no access to historic data which would then prevent any claims proceeding.

The administrators also referenced MSE and the time spent dealing with it.   Ironically, that work comes at a cost, which means even less money for creditors higher up the chain.
