PAC query
Has anyone had experience of transferring a number from an account in their name with one provider to an account in a different name with another using a PAC code. Or is that difficult to do.
Scenario: I am looking to change providers and have had an account with the current provider with two seperate numbers (two phones) in the account for some years . One number has been used exclusively by my wife for some time and when I move providers I want to set her up with her own account.and transfer the number she uses to that account.

Didn't cause me a problem when I used a PAC to transfer our sole phone number from Plusnet (account in my name) to 1p mobile account in my wife's name. We set up the 1p mobile account first then used the PAC.0

I've moved numbers held under one account to new suppliers on several occasions without issue.
The moving of the numbers to other suppliers should not be an issue one you have the PACs BUT what many networks impose is that you cannot use the "request by SMS" service when the number is registered to an account with two or more numbers, you would need to use their online contact method(s) or phone support.
This makes it imperative to make sure that the correct number's PAC has been requested.
General point, get the new SIMs set up and tested to make sure that service is acceptable before giving them PACs to move numbers. I'd include getting the account online/app access set up in this check.
I'd be minded to move the numbers one at a time, get PAC - give to new provider - check number moved OK, before requesting the second PAC.
Does mean that you are "double running" a couple of numbers (with the associated additional cost) for a week or so but I'd find that acceptable if the numbers are important.2
