Oh dear, "FCSC protection page".Bigwheels1111 said:Chase Bank email, just now.
The Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) is increasing the protection limit on your eligible deposits from £85,000 to £120,000 from 1 December 2025.
This means their Deposit Guarantee Scheme will repay you up to £120,000 of your eligible deposits, in the unlikely event that something happens to Chase.
Don’t worry, there’s nothing you need to do – it’s automatically updated for you.
Got any questions about how the FSCS protection works?
We’ve got more info on the FSCS scheme, which deposits are eligible and how it may apply to you in our FCSC protection page. We’re also here 24/7 to answer any questions you’ve got – just get head to the Chase app to get in touch.
All the best,

No, I don't think it's amazing how often it's used. People make mistakes, it's an easy typing error.eskbanker said:
Amazing how often that's erroneously used, isn't it (but you'd expect better from an institution)! Probably even more frequently than the references on here to the likes of 'FSA' and 'Hargreaves and Lansdown'....masonic said:

What would be amazing is someone who never made any mistakes.1 -
OK, maybe 'amazing' is stretching a point - of course we all make mistakes, but to me it's notable that a four-letter abbreviation is mistyped so regularly in exactly the same way, with 2 Cs and an S rather than the other way round, unlike, say, transposing letters in 'HRMC', which is more like a typo in the usually accepted sense.subjecttocontract said:

What would be amazing is someone who never made any mistakes.Expected from a general member of the public on social media, but not in an official communication from a firm that should have been subject to at least a couple of pairs of checking eyes. It practically jumps off the page to anyone who knows what it stands for. But for those with genuine issues, a spellchecker can be programmed with the correct acronym and used to weed out such errors. Modern tools even have an autocorrect function.I don't recall ever seeing it before in an official communication from an FCA authorised firm. Maybe a phishing email purporting to be from such a firm.3 -
It’s a shame the FSCS increase coincides with the [expected] reduction in maximum allowed cash ISA deposit in the forthcoming budget.
