And those have a postcode? But the address is no longer one of those listed by Royal Mail under that postcode?northwest1965 said:
It was purchased by the owner in 2003, on the register of the title it has the same name.user1977 said:Sure it hasn't e.g. changed its name at some point? Have you looked up the rating valuation roll to see what they call it? Have you asked the agents? What does the EPC call it?
It has the same name on the valuation roll as what it is called now.
The EPC also bears the name as to what it is now.Loved our trip to the West Coast USA. Death Valley is the place to go!0 -
Just in case you have been given the wrong postcode, have you tried typing different parts of the address into the Royal Mail postcode finder?
For example,
House name, Village name or
Road name, Village name or
Road name, first half of postcode
It will return a bunch of postal addresses (including postcodes) that match the partial address you provide.

The postcode is correct, it matches for the house next door.eddddy said:

Just because that postcode matches the house next door - it does not mean the property that you're interested in would have the same postcode.northwest1965 said:The postcode is correct, it matches for the house next door.
Nothing appears either by name, partial address or postcode on royal mail.
Postcode areas have boundaries - there will always be adjacent properties with different postcodes.
Use the "Search by Map" function on this website...
https://search-property-information.service.gov.uk/search/search-by-map/
Don't worry about the house numbers you see on the map when search - these come from a different and non-definitive source. But if you zoom in and draw a circle around the area you're interested in - it will show all properties within that circle.

I have encountered commercial addresses which appear to have "fallen off" the postal address file after being disused, so I wonder if it's something like Royal Mail get told X no longer exists as a residential address, it never receives any post as a commercial property, so doesn't feature as a recipient on their database?
Is the current permitted use for planning purposes suitable for you?1
