Zopa Biscuit account

I've just opened a Zopa Biscuit account, after MSE recommendation, and have had massive problems from the word go, including inability to access the money we've transferred in and now they have closed their telephone helpline due to 'technical issues'. This means that we currently have no access to significant amounts of money. Just wondering if others have had similar experiences? Even when the app was working, the speed of any transactions is very slow, unlike any other online banking transactions that we make.

I open an account in February, payment in and out were instant.
One issue with reg saver, they did not take the money.
But that was all.
It’s not my main bank.
I have 7 bank accounts, First Direct is my main one as contact is 24/7 with a real person.
I have just moved £200 to them, 10.45am.
It has not arrived, issues with site is the message I get.
I will update here when it arrives and how long to withdrawal.
Update, 30 minutes to arrive and credit, 8 minutes to return.

Today there appear to be problems with the app running very slowly but otherwise for me money only takes a few moments to move around.Grandmadiver said:I've just opened a Zopa Biscuit account, after MSE recommendation, and have had massive problems from the word go, including inability to access the money we've transferred in and now they have closed their telephone helpline due to 'technical issues'. Edit: Issues can occur with any bank. Perhaps rethink how much you keep in any one and spread your money around a bit for resiliency.0 -
That's not my experience with Zopa - external and internal transfers to, from and between Zopa accounts are either instant or take less than a minute for me but they are having issues at the moment, as you'll see from the warning message when you open the app.Grandmadiver said:Even when the app was working, the speed of any transactions is very slow, unlike any other online banking transactions that we make.
If your transactions are usually slow, then the fault may lie with the other party you're transferring to/from.0 -
Never had a single problem with Zopa and transfers are instant. Today there is a note in the App regarding issues affecting some services, but usually Zopa accounts are reliable and saferefluxer said:

MSE does not make recommendations.Grandmadiver said:I've just opened a Zopa Biscuit account, after MSE recommendation, and have had massive problems from the word go, including inability to access the money we've transferred in and now they have closed their telephone helpline due to 'technical issues'. There are issues today, be patient.
All my payments in and out have been within seconds, both from Biscuit and savings
With Biscuit the daily/weekly payment limits are too low for a lot of people, but you can move a lot more from savings once you have set up your EXTERNAL linked accounts.
Homework time in the FAQs.

I have just logged in. I can see a msg that they are working on resolving problems with some of their services. I made a withdrawal, which was a little slower than usual but arrived ok at its destination within minutes.Occasional outages or interruption of services can happen at all banks. I am a very regular user of Zopa and several other banks and can't say that the Zopa app is any less reliable /available than those of other banks. 99.999% of all times my Zopa transactions have been instant.0

Yes I second that.francoghezzi said:

If your transactions are usually slow, then the fault may lie with the other party you're transferring to/from.I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.0 -
They were having issues this morning hitch is something that happens everywhere. Seems to be fixed now.0

Still getting a problem banner at login. Interest and cashback isn't working yet. Haven't needed to send or receive funds today so cannot comment.Grandmadiver said:I've just opened a Zopa Biscuit account, after MSE recommendation, and have had massive problems from the word go, including inability to access the money we've transferred in and now they have closed their telephone helpline due to 'technical issues'. It's not fixed for me ,can't see my savings and card payments just declined twice, had to use another bank card. They should really email customers to advise on extent of issues, I had no idea transactions were being declined. Information on app and website is insufficient.0
