So you just tell them no.
You will contact them when service & MOT is due.

As a aside google for the light on dashboard. Most will come up, if not then handbooks usually have a list of them. Or user forum. 👍

I had a similar experience ,took my 5 year old Dacia into the dealers as i was passing anyway and asked about a light on the dashboard ,normally when due a service a small spanner light comes on but this time it was a car with a line then the spanner ,the dealer said it is just a service indicator and can i give you a price?

    MOT - £54.85 ( due January  )

Service - £360 this includes cabin and coolant service ,pollen filter and anti-freeze.

I told him it was serviced this year and has only done 5500 miles.

Will do it myself as oil,oil filter and air filter will be about  £40 ,will use local garage for MOT as they normally charge less than the GOV max.
Time to read your service schedule.
Many cars are 12 months or XX miles which ever is 1st..
So it could sit & never move for 12 months, but still need a service to keep warranty in tact.
True but the warranty on my Dacia Sandero is only 3 years so ran out nearly 2 years ago.
It's up to seven years if you get it serviced at your Dacia dealer.

I moved last year, my local Peugeot is a stone acre dealership.
I tried to book in for a mot. Reply, you need to come in and book.
I was passing the next day, so dropped in.
One mot please, yes fill in 5 pages of info, leave car for 4 hours, as we will give the car a free check.
To find £1000 of work you do not need.
    I decided their offer.
Sounds like you went to the same type dealer.
First get a few wet wipes, clean the wiper blades, if that does not work, just replace.
My 5008 take very long blades, Bosch A719S £22.77 on Amazon, Rear Bosch H840 £5.20
Under £30 for the best wipers I’ve ever used.
Pollen filter, most are never changed, even within a service contract.
They were included in my Peugeot service contract, but in year 2 and 4 they did not change them.
I checked and went to town on them. I got £200 in Peugeot credit for their error.
On my car they are a pain to change.
Take me 20-30 minutes due to location behind dash.
Does your car smell, damp or musty when heaters or air con is used, no. Don’t bother replacing pollen filter.
Heat shield, leave it to fall off.
If You part ex the car, do nothing.
    Keep mouth shut.
They will find everything wrong with your car they can to lower the price.
Did you know your brake pads, discs, master cylinder are all shot and need replacing, so do your tyres and engine and gear box.
    You are over thinking this.
The day you go to part ex, bike in with we rip off any car.
We buy any car and get their, lowest price.
If dealer is less go back and sell to them.
Show dealer price offed and they should beat it.
My Peugeot has it's MOT and Service done at a Peugeot dealership every year and they always do the health check on it. Not once in the 5 years I've had the car have they said any work needs doing on the health check. A few advisories now and then which I've sorted myself. The MOT is also free if you have the service done at the same time, something I found out after having them done separately in the first year and them pointing out it would be cheaper to have them done together. They also collect and return the car to my house at no extra cost. They are only a few quid extra than my old local indy garage was, and my old indy garage used to just give me a bill saying service done. Chalk and cheese.
