What app is best for movies

As the title suggests, just want to subscribe to something that allows us to watch decent movies (not Sky) Any thoughts

They all have movies (including Youtube, recently).

It depends on what you are looking for (old/new, genres, how much you want to pay).

Here's an appropriate title from Youtube's current crop of free films from their official channel:

Netflix - good because everything on there is free to watch with your subscription
Prime - not as good because some things are included but other titles you have to pay extra for.  But good because you can subscribe to other channels through your Prime account e.g. Apple+ and Paramount (obviously these cost extra)
Disney+ - a good range of all types of film, not just Disney cartoons!

  • Another approach might be to use a website such as https://www.justwatch.com/uk/movies to search for movies you might want to watch, and see on there which service(s) they are available on.
Be careful re when it says a movie is on a service in case it means to rent/buy rather than included with the subscription. Also sometimes it will say 'Watch similar movies on ...' which isn't very helpful.

With Now Cinema (Sky) you are just paying for movies, Prime, Disney, Netflix and many others set their prices to include tv series and other things within the cost. Most offer some sort of free trial and there are various free apps that generally have older films.
