Claim Defended - DCBL Parking

Thank you @GreenLane4 for the copy of your NoD . I can now get this counted in the DCBL Legal thread of shame. 👍
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I just had my mediation call and the mediator was quite condescending.
But first, he called me (defendant) before the claimant, I asked why and apparently it's to save time. Since typically defendants will always be there whereas claimants less reliable so having a long call with claimant first then defendant may not answer their phone. (Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but despite the friendly tone, seemed like he was biased against defendants in parking cases from the outset.)
Then asked how I "felt" about the case, I asked him to clarify since I wasn't sure if I should give the "no offer" response or actually say how I feel about private parking companies etc. Ended up giving both answers during the call anyway!
Mediator also felt the need to add that they have been told to tell defendants during these calls that when one of these cases went to "Royal Courts of Justice", the defendant lost. So judges aren't really sure why people are still defending these cases in court and it's probably because "they don't listen to us". Also something about if I'm defending on principle but know of this precedent then why bother? (I paraphrased).
Mediator said it wasn't his job to convince me to make and offer or anything but that unnecessary bit about what judges say sure felt like he was…
Oh well, the call was only 4ish minutes. Onto the next step I guess.
