    Result!    :)

I rang Three, said I was thinking of migrating to either Smarty or Lebara and after a bit of to-ing and fro-ing with various offers I have ended up with 8GB (what will I do with that when I could not even use 4GB??) for £6 per month so I am a happy bunny, don't have to move and Three are quids in because I will still be paying for calls/texts/date I am very unlikely to use.  But good to have them available.

A big thank you to everyone who replied on here and offered suggestions.  Gave me plenty to think about and negotiate with.  I really did not want to move again as I am happy with the online and instore service from Three.

And a big thumbs down for ML's campaign to remove the CPI+X% annual price rise, which seems to have backfired on us all.  My £6 will be subject to a £1.90 increase next March (that's 31.7%!) having risen from £1.25 since the start of this month.  So ML did us no favours!

maybe you should of stayed with them for a bit longer, until the price got silly. (i.e more than the cost of a new deal). But its not clear how many rises you had been thru.

I'm sure you could cancel the deal within 14 days and really confuse their computer system,

The whole issue has now gone off my to do list and out of my life until the next renewal date in 2027.  I joined Three in January 2022 - and back then it was £6 per month - which was for unlimited calls/texts and 2GB data!  Two years ago I argued them down to £5 per month for the 4GB deal, which each March crept up to almost £6.  Today's result = happiness!
