"Santander £100 Amazon voucher without switching" crashing

  • The form crashed for me 3 times and so I applied 3 times! Now have 3 accounts. Eek! Shoukd I do anything about this? I'm worried because our mortgage (with Santander) is due for renewal soon. Will this have an impact?

    Was it for the Everyday Account? With no overdraft facility? These only get a soft search so no effect on credit report.  Otherwise, because you are already with Santander you should be fine (with an explanation).
  • Thank you! Yes, the everyday account, no overdraft! Thank you for reassuring me. 

    Now to figure out which one to use to make sure I get the voucher!

    Was it for the Everyday Account? With no overdraft facility? These only get a soft search so no effect on credit report.  Otherwise, because you are already with Santander you should be fine (with an explanation).
    I got a hard search the first time I tried, although the whole application failed on the last screen. 

    Only a soft search when I successfully managed it next time.

    was thinking of complaining to Santander to get the hard search removed as they have clearly made an error, but suspect it's not worth the effort involved.

    And I now apparently have 2 hard searches on my Transunion file. Which I will be complaining to Santander about tomorrow. 
    Exactly the same happened to me so I now have 3 current accounts opened instead of 1. I don't know which account to make 30 transactions on to get the voucher. And more annoyingly santander made 2 hard searches on my file (& 1 soft search). I'd like to at least get 2 of the searches removed.

    Any luck contacting santander Artyboy?

    In the end it was just the one hard search, and I lost the will to try and fight through Santander's processes, after initially being told on their chat 'service' that no-one was able to help and I'd have to call in office hours. One search isn't going to have a major impact so I'm letting it go.
  • I have a weird problem with this offer, and I'm not sure what to do.

    I followed the link on here to the VoucherSent website, filled in the details, and was transferred to the Santander site.  I typed in all the details and hit Submit, but received an error message which said to try again!  I refreshed the page, entered all the details again and hit Submit again - same error.  I did receive an email from Vouchersite to say that my details were registered.

    I then tried the whole process again on a different device, ie this website, VouicherSent, then Santander. This time it worked. I got the confirmation from Vouchersent again.  

    A bit later I started receiving email from Santander, basically saying that I was now opening THREE current accounts.  I tried calling them but gave up after a long time.  I have now received an online account letter, logged on to the online portal, and found THREE current accounts registered.  I have also received TWO bank card with pins, and evidently there is another one on it's way.

    I tried an online chat but the person I spoke to (Nino) knew nothing about the offer and said there was nothing he could do.  

    Should I use all 3 cards and possibly get 2 x £100 Amazon vouchers (I hade 2 x VoucherSent emails), or should I close 2 of the accounts?  If so, which ones?  How do I know which card(s) will get me a voucher / vouchers?   Should I just make 3 x 30 transactions in 60 days and see what I get, or use 2 of the cards. The odds are that at least one of them will be linked to the VoucherSent emails?

    I had a similar problem. The application form was sending me to a 'page not found' so I filled it in three times. Seemed to work on the third go. But I got one email from VoucherSent ("Confirmation of Registration"), and one from Santander ("P4 Current Account Application OLAxxxxxxx"). Later on that day, I got two more from Santander ("M6 Current Account Application OLAxxx" with different reference numbers to the first) so I guess the forms got through to them.

    Finally, I got two "your application was successful" emails from Santander, and one "your application was rejected". And they've sent me two debit cards. BUT: looking at the ref numbers - the rejected application was the first one! So does that imply that the first application was the one linked to the voucher offer, and any spending on the other two won't count towards it?

    Ideally I'd like to talk to someone from VoucherSent - I'm sure no-one at Santander will know anything about it. Is there a way to contact them?
