Royal Mail - no sign

We have had no second class mail delivery for almost two weeks...
First class gets a delivery from a van (every two days)- but they appear to be having problems recruiting postmen in our area, so don't bother........I am waiting for medical stuff from the hospital with no sign of any delivery ..
Royal Mail do not deserve the moniker "royal"

Can't understand why there is still 2 classes. It be far more sensible to have just one class of postage.

Maybe you simply have not had ant 2nd class post. They just lump it all together 🤷‍♀️

That is quite a low bar to limbo under.  Even Andrew is still royal.

Have you checked with the hospital that it has been sent?

Maybe it has not been sent out yet.

Ours uses text asking you to check their Patient Hub, which has new appointments & history of any letters sent. Must save a fortune over sending letters out

He has been stripped of everything else.

This is not the first time that I have received no 2nd class mail  for extended periods
I received letters from the hospital dated over 2 weeks previously before..........

Can you contact your local Delivery Office to see if they have mail they are holding. This should not be the case but I know it goes on....

Yes, and I am hoping the media clamour for him to be stripped of that status dies down.  Not because of any actual interest in Andrew one day becoming King but simply because that occurrence is so remote in any case that it would be a waste of time and resources to expend effort in making that change.  The Government / Civil Service only has capacity to process a certain amount of matters and their focus and effort can be better directed elsewhere.

    Royal Mail’s service obligation

The Royal Mail has a legal obligation to deliver letters Monday to Saturday and parcels Monday to Friday as well as offer two delivery speeds – First Class service for delivery next day and a Second Class service for delivery within three days.

This Universal Service includes a ‘one price goes anywhere’ affordable postal services to all UK addresses.

The legal basis for this universal service is the Postal Services Act 2011 and the Universal Postal Service Order.

    Universal Service Obligation in 2025

This is written into law, however the Royal Mail has proposed changes to the Universal Service that would change letter deliveries from 6 days a week to 5, plus Second Class post will be delivered on alternate weekdays.
