In related news, I had a missed call from "Matt" at Kerrang at 07:44 asking if/when I was going to turn up to take part in the race. He left an 0845 number so he won't be getting a call back. I also had a missed call from an anonymous woman at Kerrang (not Lucy) saying she had some tickets for me and I could collect them from the station. Presumably these are tickets to the Pistonheads show. My phone was turned off, luckily, or Matt would've had a right earful - I was working from 08:30 yesterday til 02:30 this morning :mad: .

well i'm not a legend
woke up at 3am coz the lady said be there at 7am
at this moment i had no idea what i had won and none the wiser
so i got in the car and arrived about 6.30am
i live just under 2 hours away
met by lucy said "oh ur early we got a long wait sit down and be ready for 8.30:mad::mad:"
there was a young lad with his dad already there
so it was a race i and wondered how many were going to be there.
next Mr universe came in big muscles with a superman tattoo on one of his biceps
i wa completely shattered having only 2 hours sleep -so trying to get some shuteye and drinking coffee Superman only drank water- so i imagined what competiton i had
found out the lad was too young so they sent him home with a few cds and tickets to the show (back to Portsmouth:eek::eek::eek:)

Anyway come 8.am i was getting a bit peed off they called a few people too and at the end of It there were about 6 racers instead of 20 that were supposed to do it
Lady came over for me to sign some disclosures etc etc and gave me a couple of tickets

had a look and they were only general admittance not to any live shows
i thought !!!!!! this- come all this way and only be offer GA tickets so i walked out and left and drove home:T:T

was really too tired to do it and didn't want to give them any satisfaction for tickets that are of no use or worth to me




so i'm no legend sorry just very tired now:o

Aww... you're still a legend for having a go. :T It does sound like they did a rubbish job of organising this whole thing. Next time I enter a comp on the Kerrang site I'm going to read it through very carefully!

ginjim - you are still a start in my books! What a pain doing all that & only getting some naff giveaway - think Kerrang might rethink before trying anything like that again!
