Samsung tab 3 query help
My husband bought me 1st and only present 3 years ago samsung tab 3. Beautiful, so lush, from CEX worked great but then was soooo slow, I followed YouTube video to speed it up. Then was like it was wiped, couldn't set up play store, email nothing, then charge took longer, 2 percent over night then died. Had in drawer for over year. No genuine charger, or plate will charge. I dunno what I did? Its not worth much but its so beautiful I'd like to use again. Any ideas what the heck is wrong?

Samsung tab 3 was released in 2013. Can it even run latest software? It’s going to be slow whatever you do to fix it.
If you love that model you can buy a working tab 3 replacement with guarantee on cex for £20-25.But I’d look for a much later model if you can afford it.0 -
I can't do reset as it now won't take charge. Whatever I did following youtube charge started to take 24 hours for 4% then just died. So I've tried new genuine wire them also charging plate in case it was port. No charge, won't turn on to di factory reset. Tried reset buttons volume, power etc nothing. So whatever YouTube said, it's depleted battery. I now think it's the battery, but who knows. Look I've looked it up to sell, looks like not worth much, but it's so beautiful I just wanted to use for Xmas shopping as my eyes not great on my phone. I'm reluctant to literally give it away for less than 20 when all I did was try and get it to go faster.
Maybe I do just need to scrap it? Awww0 -
The lithium battery will be a goner after being left flat for so long. Even if you replaced the battery, tablets that old can’t really handle modern web encryption or apps anyway, so even fixed it would be painfully slow.
Cex have plenty of Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 in the £100 to £120 range which would be a suitable replacement without breaking the bank.0 -
I've just looked up the specs, as I hadn't twigged to how old it was, when I first commented.10+ years old, about 1Gb Ram, and 16 or 32GB of memory. And running on Android 4 point something.Even if the battery wasn't seriously old, and kaput, I'm not sure the tablet would have enough computing power to do much at all.Sadly, tech is just something that needs replacing from time to time.If you're interested in another secondhand gadget, Back Market often gets spoken about on these threads, with good reviews. Not used them personally, so other "shops" are also available.0
