British Gas, Collective Nov26

Hi, I applied for the BG Collective Fix through MSE Energy Club a month ago but I've heard nothing back from BG. Are others experiencing delays?
My current BG fix expires end of Oct so I'm concerned BG are stalling. They had already offered me a new fix before the MSE Collective offer cam up and they are still offering that same fix to me on my account at present.
Just thought I'd check with others here before ringing them.
Rob.

I moved from octopus in a matter of days and it's all set up now. Best to ring them and see what's happening.

There was a bit of a glitch with MSE CEC earlier.

Thanks for the reply. I wonder if the change of provider was a motivation for them to get yours done on time? I will call and see if I have any luck.

On 30 Sept 2025 I applied via CEC for this tariff. I was a current British Gas customer and received an email from CEC saying my switch was in progress. About 15 mins later I received an email from BG telling me I had chosen a new tariff. The following day 01 Oct I received further emails from BG confirming tariff had been changed.
Did you receive an email from CEC saying switch in progress?

Hi, thanks for your reply. I did receive the email from CEC but nothing from BG. I rang them today and the advisor had no idea about the CEC offer so couldn't help. Tbh, a bit disappointed that the CEC offer no further support or contact into BG to help track progress. My current fixed with BG runs out today and I've decided to let it go to the standard tariff and then shop around as there will be no exit fees to move on from BG.

Oh, yes, and I checked my spam, there was nothing there either. My CEC email was also on 30 Sept.

Hello, I am / was with OE for both Gas and Electricity and had switched to BG via the (MSE) Collective Nov26.
Would you mind me asking, whether you had switched both gas and electricity, too?
If so, did you have to specify this on the form? 3 week after switching OE says they are still supplying me with the Gas and when I had contacted BG on the same day, BG checked and said OE had rejected their Gas switch  request that day.. and neither can explain why the rejection.

Yes i switched both Gas and Electric and I think you did have to tick to switch both as not everyone has Gas. My Gas was actually switched a bit later than electric I think.

Strange that the Gas got rejected, if they requested it then you definitely asked for both to switch over.

Appreciate your reply. I am not sure what is going on with BG and OE as both asking me to contact the other.

Are you able to raise a complaint with both companies to see if you can get someone with more knowledge to take a look at the issue? The phone support don't generally know much past there script.
