Hi
I've just opened a new savings account with cahoot.
Do they always give you OTP (one time passwords) every time you transfer money in and out of the account?

Thanks ..
They keep giving me OTP everytime I deposit and withdraw money to the same account.
It's a bit annoying as it slows things down.
I've already set up one payee.
Even when I log in they're sending me them so I can log in ?0 -

If it make it any easier, the OTP isn't case sensitive....can be entered in lower case3 -
Didn't realise that the OTP to log in isn't case sensitive, thanks for pointing out. It's the mixture of letters and numbers which is the most annoying. Other banks/building societies seem to manage with numbers only in their OTP's. Unless I'm missing something, not a security expert.Aidanmc said:

Their OTP codes are very annoying, I would suggest overly complicated for the purpose (8 characters, mixture of alpha and numeric), and annoyingly on my phone it can't recognise / extract the code to copy it.Personal Responsibility - Sad but True

Very occasionally they want an OTP when sending money to an existing payee. Might be when you send over £10k. Smaller amounts just whizz through without OTP.1 -

On an iPhone, you can get the phone to fill in the logon OTP for you. Though unless you have a large phone / good eyes, using Cahoot on a phone is a tad difficult until you get used to it.0 -
Are you using the Santander app to access the Cahoot account?0

No, I need the app for my other Santander accounts. I just use the Cahoot browser version, on the same phone I have the Santander app.Though with the advent of the 4.75% Zopa account, I have limited need for Cahoot right now
