Do they have a shared kitchen? They have never confirmed this to my knowledge.Credit card 1768

In a previous thread they describe it as a "flat/room":Typically a flat would be self-contained, while accommodation with a shared kitchen (and with or without en-suite) would be a bedsit in a HMO. I think OP has a bedsit.

Educated guess. Given that they don’t have a kitchen sink in their room and as per the previous thread no room for a fridge.itsthelittlethings said:Do they have a shared kitchen? Yes there is a shared kitchen, I guess there is a tap in there, i dont know, i seem to remember there was when i was shown round prior to moving in.....What sort of chemicals might be in the "not for drinking" tap's water?
I also have a small shower in the room. So i guess i could get water from that...but i guess thats from just the same water supply as the tap that i show.(?)0

I wouldn’t risk it, fill up a bottle from the tap in the shared kitchen. Could be lead pipes maybe?faringdon said:Yes there is a shared kitchen, I guess there is a tap in there, i dont know, i seem to remember there was when i was shown round prior to moving in.....What sort of chemicals might be in the "not for drinking" tap's water?

Now's the moment to investigate the kitchen.... That's the place to get drinking water. Nobody here could have a clue what nasties are in the water in your room.faringdon said:Yes there is a shared kitchen, I guess there is a tap in there, i dont know, i seem to remember there was when i was shown round prior to moving in.....What sort of chemicals might be in the "not for drinking" tap's water?

You certainly wouldn't drink boiling water from that tap again if you saw what lurks inside some header tanks.4

Yep. good chance theres a dead bird in there.3

Why would you want to get water from a shower when all you have to do is take a litre water bottle into the kitchen and fill it up?What are you eating if you’re not using the kitchen? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
