LadyinBlack i tend to agree with Canucklehead local merchants are best imho , you have a better track on your order & you get personal service , where do you live maybe we could recomend a good local plumbers merchant for you to try .
  • Hi. Thanks for the reply. I live in south norfolf/north suffolk. The Bathstore sale seems to offer a pretty good deal but I agree about the accessories - they're definitely overpriced. I had a look at Plumbworld but as I said I'm nervous about buying online without seeing them. Cheers.

bathstore is brilliant we bought a gorgeous bathroom there last march fitted it in may and they even held it in storage for us longer than they had too until our holidays when we had it fitted, they have been really good from selling to delivery, nobody tried to lure us into buying anything they were extremely professional and helpful in fact the mirror cabinet, towel holder, toilet roll holder came from b&q.Our pop up waste failed the other week and they were so helpful they ordered another straight away so the after sales is superb too (unlike MFI stay well clear!!!!)i have a gorgeous whirlpool bath that works a treat definately recomended to anyone looking at baths! good luck!it is the best thing we ever bought!

Hi. Thanks for the reply. I live in south norfolf/north suffolk....

We are also on the East Norfolk/ East Suffolk border, and in the process of buying another bath and shopping around...

    Consider the following....

    Coopers Lowestoft

    Great Yarmouth Bathrooms

Concept Bathrooms - Norwich (The best service we got)
I've not used Bathstore but I'm tempted by one of the current offers - and it is in an awful place to get to in Norwich for traffic and convieniance.

Way off topic, but seeing that name, gave an instant flashback, in my mind, to those childhood 1960's holidays, in a caravan Gt Yarmouth South Denes, with the Coopers man coming to change the Calor gas bottles!!

    Wonders of times long past!!

    Thanks!!

Good morning: I'd recommend PTS http://www.ptsplumbing.com/brochure.asp
They have branches in Norwich and Ipswich...OH's preferred plumbers' merchant...also used City when we lived in London.

Plumbworld were very good, would tell you exactly what time they were arriving with the kit, as did Bathstore - who even gave us the delivery driver's mobile number as well as an ETA.

Only niggle with Plumbworld was you'd get an email the night before to say the kit was coming - bit late to re-plan your next day's commitments! Kit all good quality though, and you could obviously return anything you're not happy with.
