Bathstore prices

I need to kit out two bathrooms and am looking at Bathstore. Has anyone used them and are their products ok? Think I remember a post from last summer saying their shops are franchises - is this correct? Is it worth shopping around (lol) in different areas? Do they haggle (bearing in mind their sale is on)? Couldn't find them on Quidco, are they on any cashback site. Thanks.

I bought my shower screen and base from Bathstore and am really pleased it is excellent quality. I waited for the sale as they are pricey but on comparing this product with similar in B&Q etc there is no comparison, excellent quality. Delivery is not included in the prices but is compulsory just to warn you.I think it was about £30.
I paid in store so dont know about cashback for them sorry.

  • Thanks Lindens. That's reassuring to know. Can anyone else help please?

Totally agree with Lindens;we had an extension built 12 months which included an extra bathroom/shower room. Bought all the items from Bathstore, again in the sale and very pleased with it. Top quality. The guys who fitted it all commented on how well it was made and easy to fit. (You often hear comments regarding large DIY store units that need a certain amount of easing to make them fit - not in our case). Highly recommend Bathstore.

We liked their presentation, brochures & clear pricing - ended up only buying their smart Atlas walk in shower.

Everything else was B&Q in the end.

If you're doing a big job, they will set up a cash account, as 'trade' gets 10% off, but NOT sale prices.

We've just kitted out a new bathroom and downstairs toilet and it looks great. Not the cheapest but definately best value I would say as you get alot more for your money than a bog standard basic suite from a diy store!
  • That's great - feel reassured now. The shower and white goods looked ok. Wasn't sure about the taps though??
BTW we were told 15% off for trade. Will check it out.
    Thanks to all.

Good afternoon: Have you considered buying from local, independent plumbers' merchants as they do sell to the public. Many have showrooms and will be able to provide advice and catalogues (price in the catalogue isn't what you pay;) ) We had a few issues with our last order from Bathstore...they have cheapened their material specs since we first used them in 2002 eg. plastic bolts for pan/cistern connection, flaws in sanitaryware . For future projects we will stick with name brands eg. Twyford, Ideal Standard and my OH advises his customers to do the same...also avoid the sheds eg. B&Q, Focus, Wickes (though many MSErs swear by them...to each, her/his own)

Just received new bathroom suite from Bathstore. WC, sink, bath, taps all reasonably priced. Accessories however can be v pricey - e.g. shower valve £299 and riser £69 versus much better looking and feeling equivalents at Plumbworld for £150 and £28. Knick knacks like shaver mirrors, wall mirrors, glass shelves generally double the price of equivalents elsewhere- maybe they lure you in with the low basic suite?

    Customer service v good though.
  • Is Plumbworld only available online? I like to see what I'm buying so I can test the quality. Thanks
