Samsung phone options - help please
Options
I have a Samsung E900 phone, that will not accept the charger. The phone is on contract with Vodafone who took the phone for three weeks then said that repair would not be under warranty. I have nearly 7 months left on contract. I really like the phone, much easier I have found to use than others and I use the bluetooth with the sat nav (my husband's Sony Ericsson will not connect every time), and the camera is easy to use for when I do not have a proper camera with me. My options, that I can think of, are:-
1, Vodafone repair - £40
2, new E900 phone - about £60 (2 mega pixel camera), from Argos
3, new D900 phone - about £80 (3 mega pixel camera), on T mobile
4, get bottom of the range Samsung and use it for charging batteries only - could be £20 (from Argos)
Do I have to get one on Vodafone PAYG? Which option is best? Is there anywhere that people would recommend for best prices.
Thanks

Have you tried it with someone else's charger?
The reason I ask is it could be a problem with the charger, not the phone. My Samsung D900 chargers have all packed up over time - I buy replacements from a local shop who does them cheap now.
It no longer accepts my in-car charger or my computer USB connection lead at the moment, but I know the problem lies with the leads and not the phone itself.0 -
I have tried with three chargers - two in car and one house - none go in. Vodafone also said that it is to do with the connection part on the phone which is why it is not covered - because I could have damaged it (how I am not sure, and also the phone is used so little it still has the plastic protective cover on it).0

Bummer
Tell them, "Fine, please can I cancel my contract as I am going to switch to PAYG" and see if that changes their minds!0
