Anyone dealt with BestAirFare? Think we got scammed 😞

Hi everyone,

We just booked tickets through a site called pricenfly.com got tickets from BestAirFare because it showed a really good deal when comparing flights. After paying, we received a random email saying to “give a few days to receive the tickets.” That already felt suspicious it only included our names and their T&Cs, but no actual e-ticket or booking reference.

I emailed them right away but got no response. Then, a few days later (after 5pm), I got a voicemail from an Indian-sounding guy saying he needs our details again so he can send us the tickets  which sounds really sketchy.

Now I’ve checked Trustpilot, and a lot of people are saying the site is a scam. Has anyone dealt with them before? What should we do to get our money back?

We paid by revolut, so I’m hoping there’s still a way to dispute the charge. Any advice or similar experiences would be appreciated.

 As you have found Trustpilot only has bad reviews, not one good one so I would say a scam. Contact your bank asap to do a charge back.

In line with what you agreed when using them (look that their terms and conditions) you have authorised an initial ‘deposit’ for the flights and they now have up to 72hrs to confirm the arrangements.  If they can’t find the air tickets at the initial order price, they may call you and ask for more money.

I don’t think this is a scam but simply a draw for those who do random searches for ‘cheap’ air tickets and then pulls in those who perhaps don’t consider at the time about the random and unknown business they are giving money to and who don’t read the terms of the transaction.

If they call back and ask for more money and you are not happy then make sure you don’t mention cancellation. Just say you don’t want to proceed at the price they now quote.

If they call back and the flights are confirmed at the original price, check the booking on the actual airline website and be very careful in future when seeking cheap air tickets. Use a known and reputable travel agent or travel provider.

Thank you for getting back to me, definitely should've  checked in advance. Is there any specific wording I could use to make sure they refund our money? I’ve seen a few comments saying they still owe people money, and even though the flight was cheaper, it’s still around £600.
