I wonder if the CCTV is the culprit, if it is an old style one rather than a more modern one, eg tape driven, or a spinning disk one, there don’t appear many peaks in your graph as you would rxpect with a refrigerant kicking in ? Doesn't sound too bad to me. Ours is just over 5000kwh per year and we're only a family of 3. We're also pretty careful, all the lights are LED, etc. As long as we're minimising everything as much as possible, I don't particularly worry about it. It is what it is.2

Two of us in a 3 bed terrace here - and we use around 2000kWh a year, if that helps to add context. Not saying that there is anything wrong with your 5000, but don’t be under the illusion that it’s in any way low - or even what most folk would consider “reasonable”.chrisw said:Doesn't sound too bad to me. Another vote for getting a Tapo, you will get the same sort of chart as you have for your house for the particular item. Put it on the fridge / freezer for a start, we replaced the freezer with one almost twice the size and consumption went down 1 kWh per day.0

Same for me, get a Tapo, test the fridges, chest freezers, CCTV. As a rough guide the main unit on the CCTV would use 20-100w depending on model, each camera uses around 14w so it could easily be using 3.6kWh a day with four cameras.
Baseline of 7kWh when you are not home seems not totally unexpected though, even with just the below and small background usage from other things you are going to hit 7kWh. Once you throw in usage from four people at home when you are there your 20kWh does not seem unreasonable.
Fridge Freezer A - 1kWh
Fridge Freezer B - 1kWh
Chest Freezer - 2kWh
Router - .25kWh
CCTV - 2kWh1 -
This is just one of a Tapo P110's reports on the freezer in my kitchen (it's not a very big one):

The average is about 270Wh a day. The downward trend is an illustration of the falling ambient temperature in the kitchen as winter draws nearer.
This device really is an excellent piece of kit. You can bulk-buy four for about £25 by shopping around a bit, a very worthwhile investment.I'm not being lazy ...

And for the op's benefit, it is not actually an energy monitor but is a smart plug controllable through an app or other smart devices such as Alexa, it just happens to have energy monitoring as well. I use mine mainly on a dusk triggered light and "away" lighting.4

Just a dull clunk but the relay has obviously failed.Shame, I'm quite fond of most tapo stuff but these are absolutely rubbish for their primary purpose.0

My 2 have been great, not heard of others having problems either. Been using them for 3 years to time heat lamps.Bendo said:molerat said:And for the op's benefit, it is not actually an energy monitor but is a smart plug controllable through an app or other smart devices such as Alexa, it just happens to have energy monitoring as well.
