I was one who clicked the TCB cashback button on the offer instead of the one for the gift card offer, subsequently I had an email telling me that a workaround was being applied to enable people like me to benefit from the £100 gift card and not just the TCB cadhback, yesterday I got the email inviting me to apply for the gift card, just done that and instantly got another email with the card number which has now been added to my Amazon balance.

Great job Santander, by withdrawing the 123 lite current account you prompted me to firstly switch to Nationwide which gave me £200, then this offer via TCB gave me £20 cashback and now another £100 via Amazon, so all in I'm £320 better off and back with Santander again, "enjoying" the benefits of an Edge account.

You won't be getting it on a weekend. It could arrive anytime before 26th February. If you don't have it by then, you can submit a manual claim to VoucherSent.

Once the Amazon voucher is received and redeemed is there any problem with closing or switching the Santander current account?

I think the answer will be no but would appreciate any comment.

I got turned down for my fourth Everyday current account at the weekend I think due to having three already!? There decline letter cites info held by Experian and transunion credit reports as possible reasons but I believe thats baloney.

No, best to close it. I also got declined last year until I closed some unused accounts. Tried again and was accepted.

Thanks, think it’s time for some spring cleaning, only opened another account after the TCB debacle and didn’t and still don’t know which one qualified me for the £100 Amazon voucher. Didn’t get double bubble though but felt obliged to do the 30 debit card spends twice to cover myself! Tis getting messy so will close the two accounts and wait for the next voucher offer. Pity as TCB tracked fine and so did the voucher for £25 but this time Santander wouldn’t play ball. C’est la vie!
