Thames water - estimated usage

in Water bills
Hi everyone,
I have received my first waste water bill from Thames Water that is estimated.
They do not provide my clean water - this is by another company and so they have said in their letter they are unable to give an actual bill as they are unable to collect readings.
So - is this fair? Am I right to ask them to collect a reading from the other company and provide me with an actual bill.
I don't want to either pay to much - or too little and end up in debt to them.
Any advice welcome
Many thanks!

Where is your water meter? It may be easier to just submit the reading yourself.chocolatelabrador said:Hi everyone,

Does the clean water going in (which is what is being metered) equate to the waste water going out though ? What about rainfall from the gutters to add to the mix ?MattMattMattUK said:

The two companies should speak to each other. Did you ring in a water meter reading when you moved in? You could supply another reading now and then hopefully they will supply this to Thames Water. At least then you can calculate the cost so you know what it should be.0

Generally the customer is charged for the same out as in, if you have your own soakaways then they allow a discount, they do not charge more for rainwater.p00hsticks said:
