Hi,
I had requested PAC code and transferred my number from three to another network. To my surprise, the line rental from the date my account was cancelled had been credited back.
So, if you want to transfer your number, you need not wait until nearing the end of the month. Just use up your monthly allowance and transfer to another network as quickly as you want.

Yeah, as long as you are past your minimum contract period, you should only be billed for the few days you remain with the service and not to the end of the month. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0

A word of warning from someone who has had to deal with the complaints about final bills arising from this: yes, you do get credited back for the line rental for the days you have not used, but this rationing also usually applies to your allowance (ie if you leave 10 days early you will actually have 10 days' worth of allowance deducted, and so you will be charged for any calls made once you have used up your rationed allowance.)I accept no liability if you chose to rely on my advice.0
