So if I'm not a £75k earner or anywhere close to this, but presumably I can open account and deposit £4k in it each month I'd eligible for the bonus?0

I took the view that as long as I made no false declarations as to my wealth or income (or anything else) then I would respond to Barclays' invitation to convert my ordinary account to Premier which was successful. This was (AFAIR) literally ticking a box.throughtheblue said:So if I'm not a £75k earner or anywhere close to this, but presumably I can open account and deposit £4k in it each month I'd eligible for the bonus?
Applying for a new account from scratch may well be a different process with more declarative answers being required.
Some might say that knowing that I did not meet the stated membership criteria is by inference a false statement but that's a matter for personal judgement.
Also important is that Barclays have no importance in my day-to-day banking (or saving), if they throw me out then the only inconvenience is loss of a free TV sub.0
