Barclays Premier Eligibility

Does anyone know if cycling £3330 per month through the Premier current account counts towards meeting the £75k income threshold?
I currently have the Premier account (met the criteria on the investments/savings threshold) but have just received a "We're reviewing your eligibility" email. I had transferred out my investments a few months ago and they've now noticed.
Ideally I would like to keep the account for the free Apple TV access.

Yes, for me it has been. I originally met the criteria via investments as well.granta said:Does anyone know if cycling £3330 per month through the Premier current account counts towards meeting the £75k income threshold?

I’ve received that same mail a couple of times but after moving money through the account my eligibility remained.4 -
Thanks! I will commence the cycling. I have until December to re-meet the criteria so hopefully this will keep the account going.wmb194 said:

Is that "cycling" literally just a Faster Payment in'n'out from another of your accounts or does it come from an external payee (like proper salary etc would)?granta said:

Fully expecting an email myself since I don't meet the criteria (never have) and want to keep the free telly.1 -
I've had Premier since Feb 2023 and I've never come close to the stated requirements since 1976. I rarely leave more than £30 overnight although I do have the RDS (until 30/10/2025 anyway). I have never had investments or mortgages etc at BarclaysHowever I do use the current account as a hub for most of my other savings accounts and easily exceed £100,000 in simple faster payments in any one year so I would guess that simply cycling your money would work just fine though your YMMV2

Yes it would have to come from one of my other accounts as a faster payment as my actual salary doesn't meet the threshold.flaneurs_lobster said:

Wmb194 - how long do you mean your faster payment sitting before transferring it out?1 -
I meet the requirements but don’t have my salary or significant savings flowing through Barclays.I “got the email” at the start of the year
once a month since then I’ve been pushing some money in and out once a month. Often it’s only there for a few minutes. Longest a few hours. All seems well.2 -
A previous Barclays account had a lot of money going in and out due to a home purchase. The app offered me premier but I did not earn the required amount. I upgraded and I was paying monthly the few months I had it as the money was no longer going in. I switched away in the end. I have a newer blue rewards Barclays account due to the cheap Apple TV, I just put money in every month and pay the £5, cheaper than getting full price Apple TV.1

My wife has received several emails offering her an 'upgrade' to premier banking. It's a joint account and, although she meets the conditions, I don't. Can't find anything in the T&C's about how that would work.I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.1

I haven't met their threshold requirements for about 10 years, but still have premier banking.
They contacted me about a year ago to say that I would lose premier status, but then changed their mind for some unknown reason.2
