So , it seems i am at exactly the same stage as you . My 8 weeks deadline was up on Tuesday ( no deadlock letter ) , which of course also cost me a days earnings , getting all info together .
I had sent 6 formal complaints to BRS , asking for deadlock letters , subject access request . Never got one . Their replies , via Pre Action Resolution ( acting on their behalf ) was always just another aggressive demand for commission . They have sent attachments of court summons ( not sealed or dated ) letters before action and actually got a court action letter 2 days ago by post too.
So it seems this company is doing both our
Ombudsman replies at the same time over nexf 2 weeks.
Like i say , keep me updated .

HELP IM DESPERATE
The same thing has happened to me and im not at the point of i cant eat, cant sleep crying on the way to work, my antidepressants dont work anymork my Anxiety is THROUGH THE ROOF
it started when i looked on a comparison site for electric supplier for businesses so it found a few matches then i requested a call back the next day when i would be at the shop after 10am.
i collected the keys to my first new business and whilst driving to my shop at approx 8.30am i was called by the broker for ygp he advised me its a matter of urgency we need to get the sign up done now, i did advise him i was driving and would like a call back when im not driving through a busy town to get to my shop, the agent then said its a matter of urgency we get this done right now so you are not billed incorrectly i did explain i have a picture of the meter read and i can provide this when im not driving but he was very pushy and demanded it there and then, i did explain i would be breaking the law driving and on my phone but he didnt care and needed the read now so i did as instructed and broke the law.( i didnt know any better this is my first new business and the way he was speaking to me it felt like i was on trial and this was something i had to do) Anyway im signed up to YGP but it doesnt stop there 3 weeks in i recieved an invoice for £8,645.71 apparently the last tenent of my shop has not given a meter read after they left so since october all through xmas iv had automated calls & voicemails 2x daily everyday even xmas day chasing payment, my christmas has been massively ruined. despite calling ygp almost every day they have been advising me there is nothing they can do until another department changes the meter reading, in the mean time its been racking up late payment charges and missed dd charges. i spoke with a manager who advised she will get the charges removed when my new invoice is generated with the correct amount which by the way now is £874 for 3 months (this is still a rip off i only have the lights and my till switched on im too scared to put the heating on to the point where every customer who walks in my door comments on how cold it is)
i have contacted ygp now my invoice has slightly increased and apparently there is no notes on the system about removing charges,
so at this point iv had enough i havent had suicidal thoughts for a long time, i havent cried almost all day for a long time its not a good look when customers walk in and iv got tears in my eyes i have to walk away from them and not greet them the stress and anxiety is causing my chest to hurt sometimes so if anything does happen to me i told my partner to let it be known its through YGP and the broker with thier bullying tactics0 -
How's things going Tinfox2 ? I was notified yesterday that the ombudsman have upheld my claim for mis representation so won the case they have sent them the decision so await what clap trap they come back with. Still waiting for decision for the YGP claim that should be latest next week.0

Omg they have to be stopped doing this they are all crooks the brokers and YGP as well.
Go straight to a solicitor otherwise you have to wait 8 weeks then don't get a deadlock letter its just drags on and on. I was the same doubled BP tablets lost a stone and not slept in months out nightmare still continues.0 -
Sorry for late reply.
I had to change my complaint to a different body . The ombudsman they are not registered with anymore . So it is now in with the DRO .
What they are doing to everyone , is nefarious ! I do hope you both reach resolutions soon and me !
I waited 2 months to find out i needed to redo my complaint to a different body .
Will let you know the outcome.

Had to do a CCJ for compensation set out by the Ombudsman as they have ignored it as Supplier adding random amounts on the bills for the fun of it and wanting thousands of pounds to get out of a contract that was clearly obtained by mis representation which is fraud even though BRS dispute it is fraud they need to look at the definition in a diary and then says its not fraud. Despite us paying for all legitimate costs they want us to pay all their excessive unnecessary costs caused through them basically ignoring 99% of our emails. I believe YGP (supplier) just ignore people to enable them to add more costs on which again has to be fraud. i record al calls and print off all emails and bills. Had 3 bills of them in a month with almost £400.00 random charges for them being incompetent
I just hope the authorities catch onto them both soon as this has been going on for years now and something needs to be done they are ruining HONEST peoples lives. I hope karma pays them all back one day i really do..
Brokers trying to avoid anything by swapping directors, moving onto another one of their in house companies but trading standards and companies house are aware of what they are doing its called Phoenixing and is illegal. They clearly think they are above the law.
