But most UKCPM cases go no further than a LBC. And as a matter of principle, right thinking people do not pay false or unfair invoices just to make them go away.

Hi Coupon-mad, I've now recieved a letter from Bwlegal with the following:

Vehicle Registration: XXXXX

Contravention Description: Vehicle Not Registered (Anpr)

Contravention Location: Bow Cross Mallard Point Campbell

We have been instructed by UK Car Park Management Limited in relation to the balance due Charge Notice ("PCN). The balance due includes the £170.00 of PCN charge(s), inclusive of recovery costs of £70, which were detailed in the PCN and/or our client's terms and condition conditions were clearly displayed on our client's signage at the contravention location. As you make a payment, or raise a valid appeal that resulted in your appeal being upheld, the balance outstanding and we require payment in full by 18 August 2026

What would you recommend my next steps to be now? Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

That reads like a letter before/of claim and should be dealt with as per the second post of the Newbie Sticky. Keep your eyes open for a N1SDT claim form.

I've now received the letter of claim (LOC) from Bwlegal.

Date of Contravention: 29 September 2025 Vehicle Registration: xxxxxxx

Dear xxx.

This Letter of Claim is pursuant to the Pre-Action Protocol for Debt Claims. This is a formal request prior to the issuing of legal proceedings for you to pay the full outstanding balance of £170.00 owed to our client UK Car Park Management Limited by the expiry of this letter - 17 September 2026

We have sent previous correspondence on this matter encouraging you to contact us if you could not pay the balance in full so that our client can set a maintainable arrangement with you for the outstanding balance.

I understand I should send bwlegal the template found in the sticky section. Can someone tell me the best way to send this to bwlegal and if it's by email what's the email address? I ask as they haven't listed an email on the letter?

Use their portal, they won't accept email any more. Anything to make it harder for you.
