One Touch Switch (BT to Vodafone)

Hi,
I have recently switched from BT broadband (openreach) to vodafone (cityfibre). How long will my BT broadband typically remain connected after the vodafone has begun, which was yesterday (as in up and running).
I got the email from BT saying sorry to see you go the day placed the order with Vodafone which was the 14th sept. Also I'm out of contract with BT so I'd hope this would go smoothly.
Would the fact they are two different lines cause an issue regarding the cancelation process. I dont want to contact BT if vodafone have everything in hand.
I could'nt chat with anyone today at vodafone so thought I'd see what you guys say on here.
cheers
David

I moved form TalkTalk over the old phone line to Virgin over a newly installed coax connection last November using OTS.
TT was disconnected 3 days after the VM service went live.1 -
It really should be the same day , the possible reasons it wasn’t , it’s the weekend , VF haven’t sent the ‘migration completed’ message to BT via One Touch Switching , or they have and BT haven’t yet acted upon it …..it’s relatively unimportant as you have had the leaving impact notification from BT when you first ordered ,so you shouldn’t be double charged , but TBH if the old service BT hasn’t stopped in a day or two I’d call to find out why .2
