dex6112As predicted the 2 emails came today and I have replied as you have suggested. They received the router on the 10 Oct and I informed them then that they had it in their possession, as well as highlighting it again in my email today. The thing that is confusing me is the 'conditions of transfer' form that I received from POP did state 'Total Termination Charge £0.00' to pay. If it had said £22 I would have looked deeper into it to find out why.Just have to wait and see what they come up with!Steve

I've just checked my online Pop account and it shows a zero balance, so it appears that they will remove the router charge once they know you won't take any of their nonsense.
Hopefully they will reply and tell you what the £22 is for. When you know, someone more knowledgeable than me may hopefully be able to advise you if you should pay that amount or not. Seems a lot, mine was only a couple of quid and I couldn't be bothered with any more so I just paid it to be shot of them. Dreadful company. Good luck again.0 -
dex6112I got a text yesterday asking for £102.However when I logged online today the amount was £22 so it looks like the £79.99 has been taken off.I have again today asked for a break down of the £22 but don't hold any hope of getting it.What I am considering doing is to pay the £22 under a 'payment under protest' letter and then going to CISAS in 8 weeks time. I did submit a 'formal complaint' with POP on the 07/10 so I will just add it to that.SteveEditUpdateI have managed to get through to someone who will answer emails .The £22 is because I have not given 30 days notice.I have given 18 days so I have asked if the bill is pro rata, and also sent this from the Ofcom website and asked for comment "Our rules mean that under One Touch Switch, customers do not have to pay notice-period charges beyond the switch date"Steve

Update.Of the £102 bill I received from POP two weeks agoI managed to get rid of the £80 un-returned equipment charge. The remaining £22, which is a 30 day notice-period charge has been reduced to £13 today (which must be a pro rata sum so they were again trying it on with the £22).Now this is my question.POP say it is in their t&c to charge me for not giving them 30 day notice but Ofcom say that under One Touch Switch "customers do not have to pay notice-period charges beyond the switch date" which I interpret as, you do not have to give the full 30 days notice to leave and therefore I should not be paying any notice-period charges. Which rule trumps which? In any case I am very much considering paying the £13 to get rid of them and then going to Cisas after 8 weeks to let them sort it out.Steve

OFCOM's rules bind POP. POP cannot charge you if OFCOM say they can't.ST£V£ said:Now this is my question.POP say it is in their t&c to charge me for not giving them 30 day notice but Ofcom say that under One Touch Switch "customers do not have to pay notice-period charges beyond the switch date" which I interpret as, you do not have to give the full 30 days notice to leave and therefore I should not be paying any notice-period charges.
