Difference in sale price and that shown on Rightmove

Rightmove is showing that the sold price of my old house was £3250 more than I actually sold it for. What would be the explanation for that?

Are you looking at the "Property sale history" there?0

What does Land Registry say was the price paid?
See: https://www.gov.uk/search-house-prices
(That's supposed to be where Rightmove get their data from, but maybe something went wrong with Rightmove's algorithm for matching LR data to the correct property.)

When you sold the house - did the buyer negotiate some sort of price reduction shortly before exchange? E.g. due to something that came up on a survey? Was this perhaps put into effect through an "allowance on completion" rather than a change to the reported price?0

His original offer which I accepted was £135000. As we got near completion he said he was only prepared to pay £130000. Obviously this was a dirty trick but I was in a chain and didn't want the sale to fall through and have to start again so I reluctantly agreed. This doesn't explain why the purchase price is shown as £133250 though does it0 -
Your (or their) conveyancing solicitor has cocked up. You should get in touch with your solicitor to get them to contact LR.0

Unfortunately my solicitors no longer exist and I haven't kept the paperwork from 2007, this only came to light when out of curiosity I looked at the value of old houses I'd had . It has got me wondering if I was told the truth at the time by them re the buyer reducing their offer to £130k and someone has pocketed £3250.0 -
Oh I think I assumed wrongly this was a recent transaction. LR probably keep paperwork going back 100s of years, but this potential correction looks a but stale, and a bit of a wild goose chase to pursue. Don't waste your energy.0
