TSB poor banking experience

So I ordered a large value gift card and my card was blocked got a new card. It’s a spare account so I got a phone top up blocked me again. Phoned to unblock and now they blocked again and asked for passport and video of me. Done that all fine. I got a pair of jeans it declined blocked card again so I have complained they said someone trying to access my account? Doubt that don’t think they like how I bank. Decided to close account and move money elsewhere can’t see much other option?

If they didn't like the way you bank (and I can imagine how suspicious it looks), then they'd have taken a decision to close your account and notified you accordingly, rather than declining some (all?) debit card transactions.

Likewise, if they believed that your account was compromised, they'd proactively do something about that, although blocking the account would form part of that.

If TSB haven't closed your account then you obviously have the option of staying with them - I can see why you'd choose to move elsewhere, but if this is a (presumably rarely-used) spare account that you wish to use for occasional purchases of the likes of large value gift cards and phone top-ups, then it's not beyond the bounds of possibility that other banks would also find that pattern unusual....

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

My account is still under investigation. I tried to close the account but i still had a pending transaction. I googled it and found they can freeze funds for 42 days and people need all sort of legal advice. Would this be required here?

It depends what part you mean, up to 42 days (or longer) can happen, legal advice, only if there is actual fraud or there is an issue with the source of funds.
