No, that's what I USED to get. 

I now get this when I click "leave feedback" against the item I've purchased...



Behind the black square is basically just a thumbnail of what I bought plus its main title.

And I can confirm that this now seems to be the way for everything as this screenshot was taken from my most recent purchase (which was a replacement for the item the shifty seller sent me) which I'd like to rate the seller positively, not the item.

Just a thought, because I have seen some listings with reviews for the item but not many - are they all in a similar category?  Or is it for all sorts of different types of items?

Sort of.

I've just had a closer look now.

The item in question was a car service part. I got the same part from another seller & can't leave feedback for the SELLER for either purchase, only the item.

There's other car service parts including fluids & I can leave feedback for the seller on all those as well as feedback for the seller on non-car related things.

But then there's another car service part which like the above - I can only leave feedback for the item, not the seller.

Do you mean like when some moron leaves feedback saying something like "turned out to be too small for what I needed"..... When the dimensions were clearly listed or "I got a black one but wanted a red one".... When listing title clearly says 'black [item]'?

I wonder how these kinds of people get on in life. Probably do things like calling the water company to complain the water out of their taps is too wet / not wet enough (delete as applicable).
