CMA overrules Ofwat and allows water suppliers to increase bills faster

Interesting that the CMA have overruled Ofwat, but also interesting that Ofwat only allowed some of those water suppliers a 1% rise in the first place, it seems that Ofwat set themselves up for this with such a low initial rise.

    I suspect this will not be the first we here of this, given the optics of:

    "The CMA said the expert panel had largely rejected companies’ funding requests for new activities and projects beyond those agreed by Ofwat. However, the panel did allow more money for returns to investors"
