VWFS not accepting claims online

Having belatedly realised I may have a claim I read through the info on the VWFS website and filled in the initial claim form I am just getting this service is unavailable. From what I have read in theory they have a duty to contact any eligible customers regardless of whether they have a claim but still would feel more comfortable registering myself.  Have they closed the form in light of yesterdays announcement (or perhaps the site was overwhelmed).  I presume I can still e-mail them directly using one of Martin's templates.

Be patient.   The lenders have to put in place the systems and controls based on what the FCA decide.  That is currently under consultation feedback.

That is the proposal but not necessarily the final outcome.

Once the scheme is open, then you can do it.   Nothing to gain by trying to get in before the scheme is open.
