                    Hi forum
I'll try to summarise quickly of where I am with it. I got a ticket in autumn 2023 for parking at a sports facility car park without a ticket, as when I tried on the app there was no mobile signal. Spoke to staff working there and they said it was a common issue (there is also evidence on the internet of other people having the same issue with signal in that car park), and I just needed to let the company know about the problem if I get a ticket. When I got the fine I appealed it (and have an email confirming this), and then heard nothing back until another letter arrived where they were now asking for £130, with no mention of my appeal. Following that was the usual letters evry few months adding another £30/40 on every time.
A few months ago they decided to make a claim, and I followed the procedure outlined on here for appealling it, and I'm pretty sure I've not made any errors. I am now in the pre mediation phonecall stage, which is booked for next week.
My question/query is that I have just received the claiment's witness statement in the post, and with it they have included an exact copy of the original parking fine, with the request to pay the original lower amount (£60).
Is this a sign of them knowing that they've got no chance in court, and are hoping a pay this now in order to stop the process and save myself £300?
Or is it just part of the procedure that they have to present me with the original ticket?
Thx

Sounds to me like they know they can't win and don't want to waste ££ on a legal type at court so are hoping you'll just cave. Because it's not a fine it's an invoice and they haven't responded previously as they should have (i.e. responded to your appeal)I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Unless they specifically made a new offer of settlement, it's just part of the process, usually before a discontinuation
The original charge was for £100 , not £60. The £60 option was an early settlement figure with a 14 day deadline, long gone3

This is just the yawnworthy 'same old' CEL template premature generic WS 'signed' in bulk by Scott Wilson, isn't it?
Please post pictures of it on the Group thread started yesterday. How are so many people missing that thread when they read CEL threads before posting? Rhetorical question! Please add it to the Group thread (pics of every page, data redacted).
We want to prove they are template WS, so we need your pictures. Obviously you won't be responding or paying.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Great - thanks for the replies, sorry, I didn't realise there ws a collective thread for everyone to post on. Can I send my WS to someone first to make sure I've redacted it properly and caught all the links to my case?0

Posting it somewhere else for checking is the same as posting it on the group thread, it would still be available for viewing if you have left any personal data/info on view. Just be careful when redacting. If you leave something in, one of the regulars will soon spot it and advise you.2

I mean can I send it directly to a mod to look at?0

Just ignore it and they'll very likely send an N279 Notice of Discontinuance in a couple of weeks.Always remember to abide by Space Corps Directive 39436175880932/B:

I'm definitely going to ignore it, I just want to upload it somewhere. I've gone over it again and pretty certain I've not left anything on it so I'll upload to the place mentioned above0

There are no "mods" as you are thinking of them, just post without personal info and we will deal with it.1
