It appears to be yet another intimidation tactic from Scott Wilson. I suspect the courts are increasingly familiar with this pattern, dragging matters to the brink before ultimately discontinuing the claim. The Mazur judgement must be a contributing factor.

    Hi all

This is the witness statement I received. It followed chaotic communication from CEL and DBCL. Don't know how background you need, here's  a patchy summary. My other half drove my car, I am the registered keeper but we couldn't find a space, I was medically unable to drive at the time  but I was a passenger. We didn't see that we'd gone into part of the car park belonging to a hotel chain not free parking of the neighbouring  restaurant. Trouble is we did take around 20 - 30 mins to look then left without eating. All correspondence has been just wanting  to pay up, then I got an email in Feb from DBCL saying  their client was not pursuing the case - I've put this in court papers.  To my surprise I got a court case and CCJ proceedings.. After completing the Directions Questionnaire I imagined next stages would be mediation and/or   hearing date . Instead CEL are still on the  case. The attached witness statement was received last week.

Sorry don't.know why my attachment is appearing mid message!
    Do I respond?

You say you "got a court case and CCJ proceedings" does this mean you received a N1ST claim form, submitted the AoS and then a defence?  From the tone of your message, it sounds like you have a hearing date, is that correct?  If so, you will need to compile a witness statement as well and send it, before the deadline, to the court and the claimant.

    Good afternoon
    Thanks for your responses.
No I don't have a court date. The last thing I completed and sent to the court was a N180 that is a response to their pre hearing questionnaire. This also indicated mediation was an option. I recall sending a witness statement earlier following their claim form, which was my indication, they were pursuing a court case/CCJ. This statement from CEL was after the pre hearing questionnaire.
I guess I should wait to hear from the court?

This isn't a discussion for this thread. This one is only about gathering the Scott Wilson early WS to prove they are all templates with no detail.

    Hi all
    Thanks @Coupon-mad
Do I wait for a court date now?
Should I start a new thread.
Sorry I have been looking through some of the threads and it seems to be pointing to just waiting,   but  I need to be clear, do I start a new thread?

    Thank you

Mediation for mine failed this morning and now I await the courts.

Are we compiling the letters from CEL?
