                    I am confused. Email says
Save £17 every month from the out-of-contract price of £76.50. With a new 24-month contract. Prices may change.
So I would pay £76.50 - £17 = £59.50. Would I not?
And there’s more. Your discount is available for you online right now. So forget the phone, forget the haggling. Save time and money by renewing online today.
But this appears to be a price hike to £88 a month.
What should I do?
Looking beyond the email, the following appears:

I have osteoarthritis in my hands so I speak my messages into a microphone using Dragon. Some people make "typos" but I often make "speakos".

Key question - what packages have you currently got ? Look at "view my bills" in your Sky account which should show actual payments and discounts.2

I'd guess that the £76.50 is for the 24 month minimum term items, the rest of the £105 figure would be for the monthly rolling add-ons that can be removed with 1 months notice.1

That helps. Thank you. I will try to ascertain whether I have monthly rolling add-ons.JSmithy45AD said:I'd guess that the £76.50 is for the 24 month minimum term items, the rest of the £105 figure would be for the monthly rolling add-ons that can be removed with 1 months notice.I have osteoarthritis in my hands so I speak my messages into a microphone using Dragon. Thank you. The discounts on the various parts of the subscription are all over the place. I still pay separately for HD on Sky Sport and HD on Sky.brewerdave said:Key question - what packages have you currently got ? Anyway, I telephoned and spoke to a youngish gentleman with received pronunciation who sounded far too educated for the job he was doing. I explained that each time a minimum contract term expires, Sky attempts to impose a massive price hike. I explained that I do understand that there will be indexation increases. Anyway, the price would have increased from £79 a month to £105 a month, less £17 a month for agreeing to a new 24-month term, i.e. £88.00 a month. Sky reduced this to £76 a month and I was agreeable to this.

Sky really aren't "attempting to impose a massive price hike", it's just your "massive" discounts have ended. Exactly the same as any other service.Sterlingtimes said:
