Prior to this email I haven't logged in since ages, so I am wondering if it's because of the MSE/Cheap Energy Club accounts merging, it sees the account as newer than Friday 26 September?0

I'm having a similar issue.
I was able to see the tariff earlier this afternoon. I did update my estimated usage to see true savings.
Later on, when I was about to proceed it was no longer an option and I am greeted with the "unfortunately, you are not eligible for this tariff" message.0 -
Also getting this message. I was asked to add my current address and tariff info even though I've done that before and have had my CEC account for as long as I can remember. Somehow not eligible...0

It is now working for me. ✅
Logged out and back in again, then used the links in the "MSE Big Energy Switch Event" email.
Just signed up and already received the 'Switch in Progress' email.0 -
I blame the CEC again.QrizB said:debitcardmayhem said:@QrizB good job we’re not on Just a minute…beep repetitionThanks, I've deleted the dupe 🙂I think the forum software is having a moment - again!4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . We have exactly the same new password requirement issue. We reported this to the site managers but just got standard email reply. They don't seem to care.......ToniMac said:Can anyone please help me with this issue. I want to change my current Octopus tariff to the new Money Saving Octopus tariff. I've been a cheap energy club member for years but wasn't getting the money tips emails after signing up. Signed up again for the email with a different address and have since been getting emails through that one.
When I clicked on the link in the email to get the MSE Octopus tariff and signed in with the email address for the energy club I got this messageUnfortunately, you're not eligible for this tariff
This may be because it's not compatible with how you pay for energy (eg, it's Direct Debit only, and you pay by cash or cheque). Alternatively, it could be because your email address wasn't registered with Cheap Energy Club or subscribed to the MSE Money Tips email by Friday 26 September. The rules of a Collective Switch state that this Big Switch tariff can only be offered to a defined membership group.
If it's the latter, you've got three options:
- If you receive the MSE Money Tips email (and were signed up by Friday), try restarting the Energy Club sign-up sign-up process using the email address we send the Tips email to.
- If you were already a member of Cheap Energy Club before Friday, but with a different email address, log out and log back in using that email.
- If neither of those apply, scroll down to see the cheapest deals available to you.
