@Coxy11 I noticed that B&M have Yorkshire teabags for £5.75 when I was in there earlier in the week. Was planning on getting some when I go out next week!

Iceland and The Food Warehouse do 3 for £12 offers on meat and fish (used to be £10 but went up a few months ago!) - might be worth a look.

Thank you @joedenise that's really helpful of you xx I don't ever buy frozen meat but might be persuaded. Just worried it's pumped full of water. How do you find it?

I will pop to B&M on Tuesday and see what's what. Have looked online at laundry pods - last time I purchased 2 x 60 Surf they were £8.99/pack now £9.99/pack :(

I don't buy joints from Iceland but I find the 5% steak mince, lamb cubes and beef cubes OK. The fish more often than not is in fish pie so being a bit watery isn't a problem. The only fish I use as it is is the salmon fillets which are lovely baked in a foil parcel.

yeah stockpiling seems to be a foolish way of people conning themselves into believing they are saving £. I'm trying to do same as you, buy what i need.

Companies do just in time to manage stock & cash flow. Better to have £ in bank and let the retailers sit on the stock

I don't stockpile as such but do have a decent level of stock as I live a long way from shops (16 mile round trip to the SM) so if I'm not feeling well I at least have some food to see me through until I'm well enough to drive to the shops again! It sounds as though you live in a town close to shops so don't have that worry.

I’m a mile walk from the nearest shop and it’s a small Co-0p, so not the cheapest. For me it’s not stockpiling as such, it’s making sure we don’t run out of essentials like loo roll - we have 3 loos - I don’t want to be checking them everyday.

With food inflation the way it is, I’d rather take advantage of offers on items I like and will use.

Apart from the loo/kitchen roll, my stock is kept in a Kallax box in my wardrobe - hardly Big Yell0w Storage!
