What are you guys doing re the rebuy value of the good you buy from the 2nd purse funds?

at the moment thinking for those items I generally wait till they are on offer for anyway I’ll split the difference between the full value & what I brought at
    3 x 1/2 price soap powder £5.50 each - rebuy @ 7.50
    5 x reduced to clear Lipbalm 75p each(normally £2.99) rebuy @ £2

    £20.25 out - rebuy value £32.50 = potential 2nd purse profit £12.25

    I'm similar @mandco.

I recently bought loo rolls 10 x 9 roll packs. They worked out at £2.32 per pack, I normally pay around £4 a pack, so I'll pop £4 in my second purse as I use each pack. Same with the Yorkshire Teabags. I paid £5 a box and normally pay £5.50 so will pop what I usually pay into my second purse.

Second purse is currently empty. I plan to pop another £30 in for this month to search for bargains! Thinking laundry pods if I can find some on a reasonable offer.

There's an App called Trolley where you can search for your favourite branded goods and it'll tell you the current prices in the shops/online.

I see Iceland mentioned, if anyone is over 60 you can get a discount on Tuesdays.  You need to register, and also take evidence of your age with you when you shop.

Another good app is Everup. You can buy giftcards to spend at supermarkets, and get cashback. Note that Tesco you can only use their giftcards in store. I try never to buy anything now without checking to see if there's a giftcard available I can get cashback on.

£30 into the purse for November  - should be making a trip to Costco this month ( didn’t get there last month) so that probably won’t go far

I had £10.02 left in my SP for this month. Was in Aldi buying the weekly shop on Sunday and needed tuna. Normally I get 4 x tins in a cardboard wrapper for £2.49. Realised I hadn't picked any up so headed back to that aisle and saw 3 x tins of exactly the same item, in a cardboard wrapper with 'I'm New' on the shelf label. This was at shoulder height and priced at £2.89. Same original product of 4 x tins for £2.49 was on the bottom shelf.

    Shrinkflation right there!

I picked up 4 x 4 tin packs for the SP stock. Might do the same next Sunday when I shop if there are any left.

Have paid second purse back for items used last month and topped up with this months’ payment. Bought another 4 packs of 4 tuna on Sunday and now have a food box in the storage area in our bedroom along with the loo roll bulk buy.

Now looking for kitchen roll, Yorkshire Tea and toiletries to stock up on. When I did the SP before we never ran out of our most used items - not sure why I ever stopped.

A couple of small buys to add
Box of dreamies in Costco - not a huge saving but worked out at roughly 63p a packet vs the £1 min they normally cost.
8 packs of gluten free tortilla wrap reduced to Clear in sains 83p per packet normally £3
    £14.14 out of the purse
Purchased soap powder from stock - £7.50 back in purse = balance £23.36 - haven’t added my monthly top up for December yet.
