Energy club BG tariff and existing BG customer

I'm already a BG customer but thought I'd take advantage of the MSE group tariff.However the energy club's switch form asks for details such as direct debit which leads me to believe a new account may be set-up with the provider.I've good reason to be cautious after a bad experience with BG customer service last year…
